Brian L. VandenBrink, CIMA { Managing Partner }
After a career that began in the banking industry in 1994, I joined CapTrust in 2002 as the Director of Operations. Since then, I have become a Partner within the practice and today serve in the roles of Investment Consultant and fulfill the functions of a Managing Partner on behalf of CapTrust.
I love people. At the end of the day, this is what drives me in my daily work whether it is with clients or amongst the team at CapTrust. I recognize the need within healthy relationships to demonstrate a balance between technical knowledge and an ability to truly communicate and relate. I strive to put these elements into practice with the individuals I interact with. My greatest joy comes when individuals I work with identify their current state, adopt plans for development, personal growth or future goals, set out to achieve them, and then ultimately celebrate their achievement.
After hours, I try not to exceed the speed limit and pray for little traffic on the way home where I truly love opening the door of my house to be greeted by my wife and four young children. For the most part, time away from work is spent adventuring with my family, enjoying the company of friends, visiting with neighbors, church involvement, and serving in the community, and squeezing in rounds of golf where I can.
