Kristine L. Zylstra { Relationship Manager }
My journey began in 1989, when I got my first “real” job as a receptionist at a downtown brokerage firm. I spent the next 10 years learning and growing in this business. In 1991, 6 months after the birth of my first child, I completed the first of many registration requirements for the securities industry. I began working with clients in an advisory role in 1996. After several firm mergers and consolidations from ‘96 to ‘02, I was blessed to have landed my “dream job” at CapTrust in January of 2003.
The role “Relationship Manager” was created within the walls of CapTrust that year and has been lived out ever since. As a Relationship manager on our team, I get to be involved in myriad roles within our group as 20+ years of experience in all aspects of this business can prove beneficial. I love working with our clients from problem solving to portfolio management and everything in between. I fulfill a role where I have the opportunity to work directly with the advisors to help deepen, broaden and strengthen relationships.
I have three amazing and talented daughters, Lauren, Emilee and Camryn. They keep me active as I spend a majority of my time watching them play softball, volleyball, little league and dance. My days begin around 4:50 am where I enjoy early morning workouts at the gym. I find this very therapeutic and a great stress reliever. I ran my first 5k at the age of 40 and have participated in several since. My new goal for 2009 is to move from 5k’s to 10k’s. I love spending time with family and friends entertaining.
