Shawn D. Pacanowski, CIMA { Investment Consultant }

Several years ago while studying personal finance I discovered a passion for working with families and business owners in the capacity of trusted advisor. From that point forward I knew my career would be dedicated to serving individuals and organizations to improve their long-term financial success.

The partnerships we seek to form with clients are centered on the attainment of their most important life goals. We believe the guidance we provide in navigating capital markets for our clients and the access we offer to world class money managers is a significant combination to enable them to successfully achieve their objectives.

I find a great deal of joy in the “journey” with our clients—offering a listening ear, seeking to make the complex simple and instituting discipline over emotion. It’s also where life is shared, stories of success and setbacks are exchanged, that truly gives me life. In the role of Consultant I have learned a great deal from many fascinating individuals and have been privileged to serve some truly great and gifted people.

As for me, life at home is fun. My wife, Christy, is a true friend and life partner. Together we have three young and energetic children under the age of nine: Eleanor, Andrew and Claire. They make us laugh. On a recent Saturday I mentioned we were going to the zoo for an afternoon out—all morning the kids were growling like lions around the house. It’s simply a fun season of life for us. We wouldn’t change it for anything. As a family we love hiking trips in the woods, playing in the lake and evening camp fires reading books before bedtime. When I get a couple of free hours I like to slip away to the streams of northern Michigan for some fly fishing.
